Log hives, natural beehives, honeybee conservation and education
Our mission is to help with the conservation of the Native Irish honey bee and the rewilding of them in the Irish Landscape.
We produce log hives/ natural beehives that mimic the natural nest site of wild honeybees. Through education we aim to show people the importance of the wild honeybees and to get a step closer to a sustainable environment for both the wild honeybee and mankind.
Bees in the wild prefer to live in hollow tree cavities 4 to 6 meters above the ground and we design our log hives to mimic this habitat as closely as possible.
Boomtreebees makes a range of log hives which can be used for different applications like conservation/ rewilding, sustainable beekeeping and education All five types of natural bee log hives are available for purchase.
Throughout the year Boomtreebees provide on site workshops/ talks on honeybee conservation and rewilding, log beehive making, habitat building, natural beekeeping, natural beehives and much more.
Boomtreebees also provides a landscaping service with the emphasis on improving the habitat for bees and other pollinators.
